Rev. H. Joon Park is a disciple-maker/builder who has worked at various campuses, workplaces, and local churches. He launched and developed campus ministries at NYU, Baruch College, and Columbia University to share the Good News of Jesus through one-on-one evangelism meetings in New York City.
Joon received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Transportation Planning and Engineering from New York University Tandon School of Engineering and has worked for over 25years as a transportation expert for the private and public sectors. Joon earned his Master of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York.
Joon became a Local Pastor in 2011, a Provisional Elder Member of NYAC in 2012, and was ordained as a Full Elder in 2015. With the grace of God, he served at Korean Methodist Church & Institute, Manhattan, New York Namsan Korean UMC, Brooklyn, and St. Andrew’s UMC, New Haven, CT.
Rev. Song Ha Park is a lifelong Methodist and loving caring pastor. She has led and built dynamic church ministries such as Sunday school, youth group, young adults, life-to-life discipleship training, and multi-cultural church context ministries.
Song Ha became a Local Pastor in 2008, a Provisional Elder Member of the New York Annual Conference in 2009, and was ordained as a Full Elder in 2012. She earned her Bachelor of Theology from the Methodist Theological Seminary in Seoul, Korea, and Master of Theology from the Graduate school of Methodist Theological Seminary. She also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York, 2002.
She served at Korean Methodist Church & Institute, Manhattan, Summerfield UMC in Staten Island, and St. Andrew’s UMC, New Haven, CT.
After a two-year Sabbatical leave from 2017 to 2018 as a visiting scholar at Technische Universität Berlin in Germany and the University of Milano-Bicocca in Italy, Joon and Song Ha have returned to the ministry and lived in Staten Island with their happy dog “Gomdori.”
